TERMS & CONDITIONS

• Each candidate can submit a TOTAL of 3 (THREE) photographs that fall into one of the following categories: Architecture, Digital Art, Minimal, Landscape, Everyday Life, Portrait and Water.
• The photographs can be in color or black and white and can be included in one or different categories.
• Categories must be indicated in the image caption.

• Authors who use mobile photography (photographs taken and edited with mobile devices) and over the age of 15 can apply..

• Candidates must submit up to 3 images in color or black and white
• Photographers are obliged to respect copyright. Works whose copyright does not belong wholly and without exception to the participant cannot be presented.
• The deadline for submissions is 23:59 on April 30, 2026.
• There is no cost to enter the competition.
• To support the exhibition costs (printing, framing, installation and communication), each finalist will be asked the rate of 35 euros (38.08 USD).

• All images must be captured and edited with any type of mobile communication device (tablets, smartphones or mobile phones from any operating system).
• Photographs can only be edited using editing programs of a mobile device.
• The application is made by sending the maximum of three photographs using the application form present on website.
• Only photographs sent using this form will be accepted.
• Categories must be indicated in the image caption.
• Title each file with the first and last name, followed by stroke, category, stroke, and image number.

Example: JoséSilva_01; JoséSilva_02; JoséSilva_03

• Use only alpha numeric characters (do not use: .:’”/?}{()[ ]+-=*&^ %$#@!.)
• Only images with the following requirements will be evaluated:
  • Format: jpeg
  • Minimum Dimension: 720 pixels on the biggest side
  • File size: larger than 100kb and smaller than 7MB
• It will not be accepted images with the following requests:
  • Images with boarders, frames and watermarks
• The images selected for the exhibition will be later sent with at least 1000 pixels on the longest side
• You may be asked to send the original photograph to prove the mobile nature of the capture and editing.
• After submitting the application form, you should see a message indicating that your application was submitted successfully
• Each participant will receive an email confirming their submission. As this is a manual process, please wait for confirmation.
• The application form asks for the candidate's profile on social media – Facebook and Instagram – with the purpose of promoting the selected images
• The remaining information collected in the form – such as country and city – is merely for internal statistics.
• The organization does not take responsibility for any traffic issues that may cause this website to be offline . Therefore, we suggest that submissions be made in advance.
• The submissions won't be returned. Only the selected entries will be kept for dissemination purposes
• The MIRA Mobile Prize is not responsible for any failure and/or loss of any application

• The final jury is made up of 5 elements. The jury will select the 50 photographs from the shortlist and the winner. The photographs are selected anonymously. The remaining 150 best classified images will be projected at the exhibition.
• The jury's verdict cannot be contested.

• All image rights belong to the participant. Any image used by MIRA Mobile Prize will be identified with the respective copyright credits. Its use may be included in publications and/or for dissemination purposes regarding the award.

• The 50 selected works and the winner will be released in April 2025 on the Mira Mobile Prize website and on our social networks.

The winner's prize is:

1. A two way flight from an european capital to the city of Porto

2. Accommodation for 5 nights and 6 days in the apartment of MIRA Galleries | MIRA FORUM

3. A trip to Picos de Europa (Photoadrenaline programme) for the Portuguese author with the best classified photograph

4. If the winner is Portuguese, may opt for a stay of 5 nights and 6 days in Companhia das Culturas, in Castro Marim, Algarve

• The opening of the exhibition of the 21st edition of MIRA Mobile Prize | 2026 will be held at MIRA Galerias | MIRA FORUM from June 13th to August 1st, 2026. The photographs chosen by the jury as finalists will be printed, framed and displayed.
• The 150 best classified will be projected at the exhibition.
