EXHIBITION - OPENING
The 15th edition of the MIRA Mobile Prize, which coincides with MIRA’s 10-year anniversary, features remarkable photographs from around the world. So we decided to integrate ten more works in the shortlist – 60 in total. At the inauguration we had the presence of the winner Marco Prado, the highest ranked Portuguese – André Gigante – and other participants with classified photos!

Prize
a week in Porto
6 days, 5 nights, with accommodation
and with round trip from a European capital to the city of Porto. The best Portuguese classification wins a trip to the Peaks of Europe. If the winner is Portuguese you can opt for a stay of 5 nights and 6 days at Companhia das Culturas, in Castro Marim, Algarve.
Jury
The MIRA Mobile Prize is awarded by a jury made up of four personalities from various
nationalities and of recognized merit in photography in general and mobile photography in particular.

GINA COSTA
Gina Costa is a photographic artist, art historian, museum professional, and independent curator. She earned her graduate degrees in art history from the University of Chicago, and has worked at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, NewYork City, The Art Institute of Chicago, and has taught at several universities and colleges.
Winner of the 2018 and 2019 Julia Margaret Cameron Photography award, and the 2016 Latin American Photography awards, her work has also been featured in Lensculture, F-Stop Magazine, and Lenscratch. Gina explores multiple formats including, film, digital, polaroid, and mobile. She has taught workshops about mobile photography in the United States and Europe, and is an internationally-know, published, award-winning photographer.
She has shown at the International Center for Photography, New York City; The MIRA FORUM, Porto Portugal; Griffin Museum of Photography, Winchester MA; The Notre Dame Center for Arts and Culture, South Bend, IN; Filter Space, Chicago; Perspective Gallery, Evanston, Il; The Rebekka Jacob Gallery, Charleston, South Carolina; the Minneapolis Photography Center, Minneapolis, MN; The Vermont Center for Photography, Battleboro, VT; The LightBox Gallery, Eugene Oregon; Tethys Gallery, Firenze, Italy: and MART, Rovereto, Italy. Her works are in public and private collections in the United States and Europe including The Fratelli Aliniari Archive, Florence Italy. She received many awards and participated in many collective and individual exhibitions.

The MIRA Mobile Prize has an amazing turnout. In the latest editions, there were more than 65,000 applications from all over the world. The quality of the jury and the selected images raised the initiative to the best international mobile photography awards. Media coverage was intense.
