2016 EDITION

When we proposed “Ligações” as the theme for the MIRA Mobile Prize 2016 competition, we expected many and varied proposals. However, the more than 6000 photographs in the competition exceeded all expectations. The authors called for physical, social, emotional, supportive, intimate and symbolic connections. They connected objects, animals, people, generations, territories, forms, ideas and events. Many requested memoirs, individual and collective, to better understand a disturbing present.
