José Carlos Amoroso was born in Porto in 1951. A photography enthusiast since his adolescence, member of the Porto Photographic Association in the 1970s. “Photographic Salons” participated in several group exhibitions. He has been awarded several times. Photojournalist in the early 70s at the newspaper A Opinião. He was a photojournalist at the newspaper “The diary”, 1976. He had several works published in Fotojornal and Nova Imagem magazine. Selected to be part of the collective exhibition “Portuguese Photography – 1970/80 in 1984 (Secretariat of State for Culture).
