Armineh Hovanesian
Armineh was born in Paris, grew up in Tehran and Boston, with a little over 2 years of residence in Lisbon. She is a photographer now based in Los Angeles, capturing moments since 2009. She is an early mover in the iphoneography movement. It works with iPhone 11 ProMax, Nikon F3/T and Sony ILCE-6000 cameras. She has won several awards and distinctions for her work, which has been exhibited in several countries: she was invited by iNstantes for a solo exhibition in Avintes, Portugal (2021); Best in Show award at the Forced Captivity exhibition organized by the New Era Museum (2017); best photo of the year award at the Lumiere Photography Awards (2016); she curates two Facebook groups for the New Era Museum (NEM Hipstamatic and NEM Street); awarded as one of the 15 best photographers in the 7th edition of the Julia Margaret Cameron competition aimed at female photographers (2015).
