TERMS & CONDITIONS

• Each candidate may submit a TOTAL of 3 (THREE) black and white photographs of street photography.
• Photographs must be in black and white

• All authors who use the mobile photograph can apply mobile (photographs taken and edited with mobile devices) - and are over 15 years old can apply..

• Candidates must submit up to 3 (three) images in black and white
• Photographers are obliged to respect copyright. Works whose copyright does not belong wholly and without exception to the participant cannot be presented.
• The deadline for submissions is 23:59 on 19 October from 2024
• The application is free, no costs involved.
• An exhibition will be organized with the 50 finalist (shortlist) photographs at MIRA FORUM. To support exhibition expenses (printing, framing, mounting and communication), Finalists who wish to participate will be asked to pay a fee of 35 euros (38.98 USD)

• All the photographs must be taken and edited with mobile devices (tablets, smartphones or phones by any operating system)
• Photos can only be edited using editing programs on a mobile device
• The application is made by sending the maximum of three photographs using the application form on the website: https://miramobileprize.com/en/submissions-here-candidaturas-aqui/
• Only photographs sent using this form will be accepted.
• Each file must have the first and last name as a caption, followed by a stroke, and the image number

Example: JoséSilva_01; JoséSilva_02; JoséSilva_03

• Use only alpha numeric characters (do not use: .:’”/?}{()[ ]+-=*&^ %$#@!.)
• Only images with the following requirements will be evaluated:
  • Format: jpeg
  • Minimum Dimension: 720 pixels on the biggest side
  • File size: larger than 100kb and smaller than 7MB
• It will not be accepted images with the following requests:
  • Images with boarders, frames and watermarks
• The images selected for the exhibition will be later sent with at least 1000 pixels on the longest side
• In some cases, participants may be asked to send in the original photograph, so as to ascertain that it was indeed taken and edited on a mobile device
• After submitting the application form, a message should appear indicating that your application has been successfully submitted.
• After applying for the contest, each participant will receive an email confirming their submission. As it is a manual process, we ask you to wait for confirmation.
• The application form asks for the candidate's profile on social networks - Facebook and Instagram – with the purpose of promoting the selected images
• The remaining information collected in the form – such as country and city – is merely for internal statistics.
• The organization does not take responsibility for any traffic issues that may cause this website to be offline . Therefore, we suggest that submissions be made in advance.
• Submissions will not be returned. Only selected works will be saved for dissemination purposes
• The MIRA Mobile Prize is not responsible for any failure and/or loss of any application

• The final jury is made up of 5 elements. The jury will select the 50 photographs from the shortlist and the winner. The photographs are selected anonymously. The remaining 150 best-ranked images will be projected at the exhibition.
• The jury's verdict cannot be contested.

• All image rights belong to the participant. Any image used by MIRA Mobile Prize will be identified with the respective copyright credits. Its use may be included in publications and/or for dissemination purposes regarding the award.

• The 50 selected works and the winner will be announced at the beginning of November 2024 on the website www.miramobileprize.com and through social media

The winner's prize is:

1. A two way flight from an european capital to the city of Porto

Accommodation for 5 nights and 6 days in MIRA FORUM

2. Trip to the Picos da Europa (Photoadrenalina program) for the Portuguese author with the best classified photograph

3. If the winner is Portuguese, they can choose to stay for 5 nights and 6 days at the Companhia das Culturas, in Castro Marim, Algarve

• The inauguration of the exhibition of the 18th edition of MIRA Mobile Prize B&W 2024 will take place at Galeria MIRA FORUM on November 16, 2024, at 4pm. The photographs chosen by the jury as finalists will be printed, framed and displayed.
• The 150 best classified will be projected at the exhibition.
