Alternative street photography Photowalk in Oporto

Come to Porto and discover the inner city and the best spots to shoot with MIRA FORUM gallery, with photographers Manuela Matos Monteiro and João Lafuente, and the internationally awarded street photographer, Rui Pina! An alternative to commercial tours of the city!

The meeting point is at MIRA FORUM – a gallery dedicated to photography, located in an old warehouse. Then we catch the train at Campanhã station to the historic city center. S. Bento is an icon with its magnificent tiles and here begins the photowalk within the streets of Porto to find local and special scenes.

 

Conditions:

  • The photowalk lasts approximately 4 hours and cost 30 € per person;
  • Each participant will receive written information about the places to visit, maps and relevant information;
  • Entries must be made via email: miraphotowalk@gmail.com;
  • We organize specific Photowalks second order, and you can arrange for groups and / or specific areas of the city.

    Manuela Matos Monteiro & John Lafuente

    Manuela Matos Monteiro and João Lafuente devote themselves to photography since a young age. They participated in many group and solo exhibitions and won awards in various photography competitions. Are are the owners and directors of three galleries in Oporto who have photography as a matrix: Espaço MIRA, MIRA FORUM and MIRA | performing arts. They guide photography courses and regularly organize photographic meetups.

  • Rui Pina
    Rui Pina

    Rui Pina is a musician, music producer and photographer. He's recognized worldwide for its street photography work. Founded the first Portuguese collective dedicated to street photography, "portuguese street collective". He is also the co-founder of the hub "world street generation". He won several prizes in various photography contests, including the Mobile Prize MIRA b&w 2017.
